I officially began freelance writing in the summer of 2009, after I enrolling in the MatadorU course with the Matador Network. Since then, I’ve also become a local expert for Orange County for Planet Eye Traveler online magazine, and I have been published in Matador Network and elephant journal. I’ve also recently been selected as an intern for the Matador Network, an opportunity that I am very excited about!
The title of my blog has changed meaning several times, from representing miles in running, to miles in traveling, and I’ve finally settled on Miles of Abbie representing the journey. Whether that journey is traveling, running, or just experiencing life, that’s what Miles of Abbie stands for.
That said, I really enjoy travel writing. I love to volunteer and experience other cultures – I want to experience and learn about as much as the world as possible, both the good and the bad. I also like to write about the impact I have and the contribution I can give to the world to inspire others to do the same.
