Resolution you wish you’d stuck with. (You know, there’s always next year…)
I’m not really down with resolutions for 2010. Thanks to my time at lululemon and their emphasis on goal setting, I’ve become much more fond of goals.
Goals are specific, measurable, and can even be a little scary.
Resolutions are things that people write down at the beginning of the year and forget by March (at the latest).
Goals can be set any time of the year, and can be/should be updated every 6-12 months.
If you want some help writing goals, lululemon athletica has set up a goal tender to get you started. Or watch the video created by Chip, the founder of lululemon athletica, to learn What Is Goal Setting?
It’s almost the end of the 30 day blog challenge. Even though I wrote and scheduled many of the posts in advance, therefore not actually blogging everyday, this is the first challenge of many that I have attempted and actually completed.
So thank you, Gwen Bell, for creating the challenge and helping me finish 2009 and start 2010 by completing a month-long commitment (and giving me a month’s worth of content for my blog )!!!
Laugh. What was your biggest belly laugh of the year?
Though I’m sure I had several big laughs of the year, my most recent is the discovery of the comedic genius, Jim Gaffigan. Actually Eric gets the credit for the discovery, but he’s f-ing hilarious nonetheless.
I couldn’t decide on which style I liked best, so I chose both the Peeking Peony and the Pretty Poppy. The owner, Jennifer, was super accommodating and did every little tweak I asked for!
They came today! Here are the cards – a fun one and a more formal one. And yes, there is a web address on the card for my portfolio, but it’s not ready to be unveiled so you’ll have to wait
Disclaimer: No, they were not free, the cards are $12.50 for a pack of 25.
Social web moment. Did you meet someone you used to only know from her blog? Did you discover Twitter?
I kind of already wrote about my social web moment when I wrote about Twitter a few days ago, so I figured I would share a social web resource with you all instead!
The New Community Rules: Marketing on the Social Web by Tamar Weinberg is a great resource on learning how to effectively use the social web for not just business purposes, but for personal branding as well. I learned how to best use social platforms I was already on and familliar with as well as learning about some new social platforms I had never even heard of.
